Hi, I'm Alexis! A Charleston local with a bachelor of fine arts degree in interior design from Anderson University (SC). I have 4 years of experience in interior design, including hand-drafted and computer-aided design. Since beginning my career, I have worked for firms such as McMillan Pazdan Smith and Clayton Tile Distribution Co. to complete both residential and commercial projects. In my free time, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, hiking, aerial gymnastics, and watching history documentaries.

What makes interior design so special to me is the opportunity to make each space unique, functional, and visually appealing. We must explore all possibilities throughout the design process. Approaching every new job with a clean slate, new ideas, and the client's needs first in mind is what will help us succeed. In an industry and field where so many new spaces are consistently being created, I believe it is important to research and respect the history of each location I design. By wiping away the history of a site, we disservice future generations. Regardless of what I am working on, I believe the details make each design unique. As professionals, we listen to our clients and peers to learn about their ambitions and aspirations before directing them to the pieces that will make them shine.

Encouraging clients to shop for quality finishes and furnishings is a passion of mine. In addition to running my company, I also work at Mt. Pleasant Mall in Charleston, SC. Teaching others about the history of beautiful furnishings and styles in the period is incredibly important. Not only am I able to help my clients build their dream homes, but I am also able to save their wallets, find high-quality pieces, and reduce environmental impact.
